In a targeted announcement, the U.S. Surgeon General has issued a strong advisory against the effects of Marijuana upon youth and fetau brain development.

U.S. Surgeon General Presents Marijuana Advisory in National Press Conference


"This morning, for the first time in 37 years, United States Surgeon General Jerome M. Adams issued a Surgeon General’s Advisory on marijuana, becoming the first Surgeon General to do so since former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop’s in 1982."

Advisory on Marijuana Use and the Developing Brain. During the press conference, Surgeon General Adams urged health leaders and prevention advocates to convey that “no amount of marijuana use during pregnancy or adolescence is safe.”
