7-OH produces severe respiratory depression. It responds to Narcan, however, a user can lapse back into sleep or worse.

Narcan?

Yes, an overdose from 7-OH (7-hydroxymitragynine) can be reversed with Narcan (naloxone)because 7-OH binds to the body's opioid receptors and can cause dangerous breathing slowdowns. However, professional medical help is still required immediately. [1, 2]

What to Do in an Emergency

Call 911 right away if you think someone has overdosed.
Give Narcan (naloxone) right away if you have it.

Important Safety Facts

Repeated Doses: Because concentrated 7-OH is very strong, a person may need more than one dose of Narcan.
Returning Risks: Narcan wears off faster than some strong opioids. Breathing trouble and severe sleepiness can come back after the spray wears off.
