Federal/DEA charge of distributing substance which causes death carries 20 year minimum/mandatory sentence.  21 year-old woman charged Federally on May 1, 2019, in Arizona for giving two Fentanyl pills to young man who overdosed and died on Fentanyl in October 2018.  

The below article reports that a Mexican drug cartel has been mimicking oxycodone pills that really contain Fentanyl, are light blue in color and are produced by a pill-press which imparts numerals and letters suggesting that the pill is "oxy."  The article goes on to indicate that batches of these pills are brought into the US by persons being smuggled into the US at the Arizona border by drug cartels.
